Wattpad Winter Books 2018

Updated: Aug 9, 2019

'Tis the season to read and not leave your house fa-la-la-la.

That's right, readers, hot chocolate and happiness is in the air yet again, but let's not forget that the holidays are nothing if not accompanied by at least one good book. Whether it's catching up on your TBR or discovering something brand new, the Christmas season is by far the best time of the year to get a lot of reading done quickly. But as we all know, the holidays can also be really stressful and reading can sometimes be on the back burner. I mean, buying gifts (pst, check out my Christmas Gift Guide), spending time with family and, if you're as unfortunate as me, working on your manuscript may be a lot to handle in just a few weeks but don't forget to take it easy. I don't know about you but I'll literally regret it for the rest of my life if I go back to school next year without sleeping for at least a few days this Christmas break.

So, on your way to buy gifts or right before you re-watch that Christmas movie, you can get some good reading done too. This week, I'll be giving you guys some great Christmas reads that are short, free and amazingly well-written. They're all available on Wattpad so you can even read on the go right from your phone.

But just before that, if you're new to my blog, welcome! I do posts like this all the time and if you like what you read, feel free to subscribe so you can get notified every time I drop a new post! To my constant readers, you guys already know how much I love you! Oh, and don't forget to tap that little heart icon so I can feel extra special! Alright, without further ado, let's get on with the list! This is: Wattpad Winter Books 2018.

Drowning

Drowning, a Wattpad book.

This isn't the first time Harley has been on my blog and I'm sure it won't be the last. We know her, we love her, it's all common knowledge at this point. And that's exactly why even though I haven't finished this book I have complete faith that it is going to be amazing. I'm only a few chapters in but I can tell you guys that her writing is phenomenal and still maintains that thriller element that makes you wonder where the time went. She's phenomenal. Also, she has another book, 'Back to December' that's a lot more in tune with the holidays but it's still under construction and only has two chapters. But, if you want to check that out too, yo know what to do!

Christmas Miracles

Christmas Miracles, a Wattpad book.

Don't let the cover fool you. Josie's story is gripping and mature. So far it's reminded me a lot of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (my favourite Christmas movie of all time) and to be honest, that's what I need this season. It's well-written, captivating and is full of pleasing aesthetics to give you full Christmas vibes. Definitely a great read while sipping on hot chocolate or eating dinner.

For My Beloved

For My Beloved, a Wattpad book.

Is it wrong for me to self-advertise here? Probably. But, when this blog idea came to me, my story instantly came with it. I swear there's no way to say that without sounding narcissistic. But really guys, my first story in this book of short stories is full of Christmas blues with a quite unexpected end. Because sometimes, Christmas isn't festive for everyone. So if you're looking for something nontraditional to read this season and you haven't already, feel free to check out my story!

A Young Man's Guide to Mourning

A Young Man's Guide To Mourning, a Wattpad book.

Reading this a few days ago was unforgettable. Kate is definitely no stranger to Wattpad (her follower count is a testament to that) but this was my first encounter with one of her works and I was drawn in instantly. It isn't often we see a lot of realistic male portrayal on Wattpad but Kate does it flawlessly. Her characters a real and a lot like you and me; just trying to get by. I don't even think I realized how important this read was until I got to the very last chapter. Y'all, I was shattered. Add this book to your library, readers, and tell Kate I sent you. Also grab some tissues. Don't say I didn't warn you.
